Meditate Wenatchee highlights the town I was born and raised in and now the community that I love and call home. My work has been focused in the fields of psychology, clinical social work and most recently in Mindfulness & Integrative Health. Kari works with individuals, groups, and businesses.
What makes my services unique is my personal experience using these tools to change and heal my own life. As a coach I listen deeply, offer a safe & sacred space and facilitate clients in finding a clear path forward. I meet the needs of each person, not shaping them to fit into my way of thinking and doing, but to encourage and inspire them to find their own answers, to be their own guru. All my work is trauma informed. We all have trauma, some big and some small. Together we find safety in the body, create trust and kindness here, and work with the stories, beliefs and emotions that have you stuck— while giving you choice and agency throughout.
Kari has been facilitating wellness events and groups for 20-years.
From caregiver support, generalized mental health, traumatic grief, women’s spirituality, and Mindfulness-meditation. I am a strong believer in the power of group learning, shared experience & community building. In 2021, I also became a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor, certified through Mindfulness Northwest.
In social work we are taught to take into account not only the whole person, but the whole community and environment in which people live. This model made significant impact on the way I define health, teach and live my own life. Even though it often feels true, we are not alone. We are part of an interconnected whole that supports, guides, informs and impacts us all, in this wild ride called life.
