Sometimes it can feel alarming to realize our anxiety, depression or trauma is not just in our heads, but in our bodies as well. We might try to change the way we are thinking, but we still don’t feel at home in our own skin. We can start to feel afraid that nothing will ever change.
As a somatic (body-centered) psychotherapist trained in trauma across the lifespan, it is my honor to support clients in discovering that much more is possible than at first imagined. I enjoy helping clients identify what is right and natural about themselves, and to heal through their own fully-trustworthy inner wisdom.
Through Maps of the Inner Terrain Counseling, I offer body-based approaches to get to heart of what matters. Each of us has a natural, built in sense of “North,” and I want help you uncover it using effective counseling and trauma therapies rooted in neuroscience, somatic psychotherapy, and compassion.
I have over 16 years of experience in Psychotherapy, including extensive in-person training, diverse and rigorous field positions (including home-based infant mental health, working in homes of high trauma families, and years in organizations that provide wrap-around services to high-need clients).
I now enjoy supporting clients in re-connecting with their bright essence with an integrative body-mind-energy approach.
The goal? Help clients create an internal home of radical self love, discernment, trust, and empowerment.
Doing this ‘human thing’ can be hard at times. We were never meant to go it alone, though it can feel like it. I believe in folks’ inherent healing abilities, and will guide you in finding, and trusting, yours.
