Bodywork that is Relaxing and Alive

The Healing Room is my passion and deep care for others incarnate. It is truly an honor to be present and share this space to you.

Bodywork

NW Academy for the Healing Arts is where my massage training began in 2019, and I graduated early 2020. Since then, I have practiced alongside a very skilled CranioSacral Therapist (CST), both mentor and friend. Formally, I continued my CST education with Einat Arian ND, PhD at Bastyr University, completing CST Level 1 (February 2020) and Level 3 (May 2025).

Although I no longer practice Reiki, I completed Levels 1, 2, and 3. Working with energy in a healing capacity has been part of my life since 2013. Ultimately, massage became the fully realized and grounded development of that energetic awareness.

Kambo

My first Kambo ceremony took place in 2020. How it went is a pretty funny story — ask me about it sometime! That silly and significant experience kept me sitting and learning about myself through the mirror of ordeal. For context, Kambo, Sananga, and Hapé all cultivate strong sensations that some find challenging — all part of the fun!

Over time, Kambo gifted me a greater capacity to ground within my body and expanded my perception of having significantly more internal space to process thoughts and feelings. As a result, my ability to regulate day to day improved considerably — one of the most practical integrations from medicine work. In 2022, I traveled to Colorado to study with Jason Fellows and Kelly Lamb at Tribal Detox, whose approach is grounded and rooted in safety. Check out the link through the Kambo tab above to learn more!

(Some of) my Philosophy

Body function and flow have always been central to my life. Growing up, ballet carried me through childhood and teenage years. That training taught me that the smallest muscle adjustment can make the biggest difference — the difference between balance and a fall. Consequently, this fine-tuned awareness shapes my bodywork philosophy: lowest effective dose of pressure, a refined weaving of modalities, and whole-system awareness of You, all coming together to help you feel and be in deeper alignment with yourself.

I look forward to diving in with you!

I am so thankful this place exists in cashmere! Emily takes great care to check in with you and your body, she goes beyond just massage to really help heal your pain points. She is extraordinary and my service was so relaxing! Her studio is also extremely clean and she was so professional.

Emily did a fantastic job helping me heal from the aftermath of a traumatic brain injury. She also worked miracles with my preexisting sciatica (which she noticed on her own without any prior knowledge of my chronic injury). I actually felt less pain as the day progressed and it still feels better even if weeks have passed. Her presence and technique is so calm and the space she provides is cozy (Don’t be surprised if you catch yourself falling asleep on the table). I completely recommend visiting The Healing Room for whatever ailments, both physical and mental, that you may be going through. You’ll be in good hands.

I got a 90-minute relaxation massage with some craniosacral work mixed into it, and immediately felt centered and comforted by the bright atmosphere Emily's created, which her online booking aligned with exactly. Before starting, she sat with me for a few minutes and fully listened to what I told her, clearly giving all of her focus to what I said, and very thoughtfully walked me through how she planned to address my concerns, with her tone assuring they would all be addressed. Her first touch was deeply intentional and unique, and unlike any other initial introduction I’ve had before, which perfectly set the stage for the rest of the session. Our session was wonderfully balanced and exactly what I needed, giving the focus to what I wanted, and working around my particular requests. Although I wasn't familiar with craniosacral work, and really just came for a massage, she weaved it in seamlessly and it turned out to be the cherry on top. The only part of my session I didn’t enjoy was having to leave at the end, I genuinely can’t recommend her enough.
