Based in Quincy, WA, but teaching in Wenatchee, Daniel Chism is a Marine Corps veteran, trauma-informed yoga teacher, energy worker, craftsman, and community leader. His life’s work centers on helping others reconnect with resilience, purpose, and inner peace.
Veteran Roots
Daniel served in the U.S. Marine Corps, including a tour in Iraq. That service gave him firsthand experience with trauma, transition, and rebuilding. Those hard-earned lessons became the foundation for his dedication to healing and community. He now leads Veterans Operation Creation, a nonprofit bridging veterans and civilians through events, creative expression, and service projects.
Healing Practices
Daniel holds a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in Trauma Cooperative Yoga. His yoga classes help people reconnect with their bodies and nervous systems in a safe, grounded way. He also leads Yoga Nidra sessions, a guided practice that supports deep relaxation and emotional healing. Sound is another tool in his work. He regularly incorporates crystal singing bowl sound baths to deepen meditative states and support energetic balance.
Additionally, Daniel is a Usui Reiki Master. His energy healing sessions complement his yoga and sound work, helping clients restore flow and emotional balance.
Steel & Stillness
Daniel founded Steel & Stillness LLC, a wellness and lifestyle brand. Its philosophy is simple: true strength comes from balancing discipline with inner stillness. Through this brand, he handcrafts gemstone jewelry and intentional malas. Each piece is designed to support meditation, mindfulness, and spiritual practice.
Community & Creativity
Beyond his healing work, Daniel brings people together in unexpected ways. He hosts Knit with Dan, a community yarn group where people gather, connect, and enjoy the therapeutic rhythm of fiber arts. He also co-hosts the podcast Between the Galaxies. There, he explores spirituality, metaphysics, and human consciousness through honest conversations with guests and listeners.
The Craft
Outside his spiritual work, Daniel works as a Union Boilermaker welder. He brings the same discipline and craftsmanship to his trade that he brings to everything else.
At the Core
First and foremost, Daniel is a devoted single father of two. His greatest mission is living as an example of resilience, integrity, and compassion. He believes strength and stillness are not opposites. Together, they are partners in the journey toward healing, purpose, and awakening.
