We invite you to a World Water Day Celebration!
World Water Day is an annual day recognized by the United Nations to celebrate, honor, and inspire action regarding water and related themes. This year, we recognize “Water & Gender” with a specific emphasis on women’s role in water, as water bearers and carriers for communities around the world and throughout human history.
On Sunday, we welcome our community to celebrate water, and women’s role in water by gathering in a circle at Barn Beach from 6:00-7:00. Our circle will include song, dance, learning and sharing, followed by warm tea and time for connection.
Our intention for gathering together is to express our gratitude to the element of water—for Water is Life and central to all life—and to the women who have carried and continue to carry water for their children and communities.
Facilitators and Supporters: Brittany Thurlow, Micah & Nora Heath, Targol Pooler, and other Musical Guests
Please dress for the weather and bring your own chair if you’d like to sit!
Any and all participation is welcomed and encouraged – we welcome you as you’d like to show up! Let’s gather and celebrate WATER!
