Intentional Music Production: Bloom Week!

Happy first day of Spring!  It’s been quite a winter for myself and the community of artists around me. While the outside world has experienced quite a bit of turmoil, we’ve been in a bit of a creative cocoon here — processing all that we’re experiencing through song…. Writing. Recording. Dreaming. Doing the quiet work that happens before anything blooms.

This week we open the door.

In addition to it being the first day of spring, today is also the first day of Bring Forth Bloom Week! Bring Forth is a project I’ve been working hard at building over the past several months – a nonprofit songwriting studio and artist collective. We do song coaching and full production (in person and remote) and I’ve had the privilege of producing a bunch of new music being released this week.

It kicked off today with my friend, Targol, releasing her very first song – “Zendegi” – on the Persian New Year and the first day of spring. Zendegi means life, in Farsi. It is exactly that.

There’s more dropping every single day this week. The best place to follow along is on Instagram and Facebook— that’s where everything is being shared.

AND.. I have some super exciting things of my own to share later this week… including a pretty big announcement on Wednesday March 25, which also happens to be my birthday 🎂. If you’re in Leavenworth that evening, come find us at The Plant Ally at 6:30pm. It’s going to be a good night.

Every day I am more and more convinced that the power of our creativity (and especially the power of Song) can be a powerful force of healing both in individuals and in the collective and I’m so grateful to have found myself in the middle of a community that rallies this kind of work. Thank you, friend!

And, if you know someone who would love any of this – please send it their way! 😉
